Lazio vs SPAL: Match Preview
Lazio take on SPAL at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, the biancocelesti will be looking to make amends for their surprise 2-1 defeat at Paolo Mazza in the first leg of this fixture back in September. SPAL have proven to be a bogey team for Lazio recently with the home side only having won just two of the five Serie A matches played against SPAL in the 2000s (1D, 2L).
Joaquin Correa is out with a muscular injury (Calf), joined by Adam Marusic, Danilo Cataldi and Jordan Lukaku. Felipe Caicedo will partner Ciro Immobile upfront, with Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in midfield.
Acerbi, Cataldi and Radu are all a booking away from suspension; with Lazio hosting Inter in two game weeks time it could be a smart move for Acerbi to pick up a booking in this game to ensure he is available.
SPAL are in a relegation battle and currently sit joint bottom of the table with Brescia and Genoa, they do have a superior goal difference (2) however that could change after this weekend.
The away team have lost three of their last four Serie A games and go into the fixture at the Stadio Olimpico without two of their best players, striker Andrea Petagna and Mattia Valoti, plus injured Marco D’Alessandro and Mohamed Fares.
The absence of Petegna is massive for SPAL, since his arrival in 2018/19 the striker has scored 41% of the goals of the Ferrara team in Serie A (24 out of 59), the highest percentage for a player in the last two seasons, leaving a question-mark over who can put the ball in the back of the net on Sunday.

Lazio vs SPAL: One to Watch
Ciro Immobile: Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has scored eight more goals than all SPAL in this Serie A (23 v 15). Since the return of SPAL in Serie A in 2017/18, Immobile is the player who has scored the most goals against the Ferrara team in Serie A: seven, at least three more than any other player. Considering this trend you have to back King Ciro to at least add one more to this tally.
